The role of rural women in facing the corona pandemic in some villages of Gharbiya Governorate

This research aimed mainly at identifying the role of rural women in responding to the Corona pandemic, The research was carried out in Gharbia governorate, where three districts were randomly selected from the eight districts (Mahalla El -Kubra, Zafti and Besion), The most affected village in each centre was deliberately selected and resulted in the selection of the village (Al-Hayatam village-Mahalla El-Kubra),( Nahati village-Zafti) and (Kafr Jafar village-Basioun), The total amount of research was 11750 respondent, using the formula (Krejcie and Morgan,1970), a random sample of rural women was selected in the three villages (Al-Hayatem, Nahti and Kafr Jafar) who had been infected with virus or had exposure a family member, The sample consisted of 375 respondent, The data were collected through an interview questionnaire in June and July 2023, Frequencies, arithmetic mean, and percentage were used in data analysis and presentation of results. The most important results were as follows:
1- The vast majority of the respondents (98,4%) have a high level of performance in the preventive role to face the Corona pandemic.
2- The vast majority of the respondents (96,3have a high level of performance in the therapeutic role to face the Corona pandemic.
3- Nearly three quarters of the respondents (74,9%) have a high level of performance in the role of coexisting with the Corona pandemic.
